Sea of Forgetfulness

As a child, I can remember making sandcastles, drawing, and writing my name in the sand. Without fail, the waves would come and wash them away so I could start over again with a clean palette. In Micah 7:18-19, the prophet foretells of Jesus and salvation. Because God delights in mercy,
He will have compassion on us, and cast ALL of our sins into the depths of the sea. Like the waves of the ocean washed away my childhood doodles in the sand, the blood of Jesus continues to wash away our sins. As we confess and ask forgiveness, we are given a clean palette for the master artist
Himself to do His work inside of us.
